Gavin Clements was born in raised in Salt Lake City, UT where he attended the U of U and studied a wide swathe of subjects, but settled into studying entertainment like film, music and even games. He worked at NHMU where he met other film students like Cayden Turnbow and Liam Bice who would become frequent collaborators through the school’s Film Production Club. While learning what it takes to make a movie, he naturally gravitated towards audio and scoring as a lifelong musician, but also cultivated a passion for the experimental and abstract sides of filmmaking. In 2021 he attended an experimental media class taught by Ali Akbari where he found a passion for glitch-art, inspiring his 2022 capstone film ‘Neuro-Prime’ which caught the eye of the Downhaus Art Collective and secured ‘Best Sound’ and ‘Best Sci-fi’ awards from the Zepstone International film festival in Spring 2023. These days you can find him playing in his mathcore band Pokkit, or setting up CRT TV arrays in his garage. Gavin loves dogs, wearing many hats, and is probably better than you at guitar.

Aura is a Mexican writer, filmmaker, and production designer based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her writing style involves the exploration of queer POC resistance through conventional horror tropes. She strives to tell Latinx stories free from a stereotypical racial lens.

Jackson Rees is a filmmaker and writer from Ogden, Utah. After graduating from the U’s film program with the Distribution and Audience Favorite Awards for his senior film, Blood of the Undying, he worked as a member of the production team at Twig Media Lab and judged the U of U’s annual Pitch Competition. He currently resides in New York City, where he works in live events and as part of the web content team at B&H Photo/Video. He continues to create independent narrative films, music videos, and experimental films on 16mm.

Maya Olivares is a filmmaker and singer-songwriter hailing from Salt Lake City now currently residing in Portland Oregon. She currently produces and writes under the name RED_BOW_BARBIE on streaming platforms with new music on the way.

Jacob Hagen is an award winning writer and director born and raised in SLC, UT. His senior film project Game of Love, after winning the Jury’s Choice and Audience Favorite awards at the University of Utah, has spent the last year touring the world on the international circuit, so far being selected in nearly a dozen festivals.

Jacob is currently based in SLC, splitting his time between studio tech work at KSL and various freelance gigs in Utah’s film scene. And when he’s not working, there’s a good chance he’s writing/planning for an upcoming project.

Maya and Jacob want to extend their thanks to all the cast, crew, and everyone else who made Damned in the Fields of Heaven possible! This was a group effort from start to finish, and the film would not have happened without all those lovely people.

Mason Henrie has been working tirelessly after graduation from the film program at the U of U to learn further how to be a filmmaker. He started working almost immediately at Moving Pictures LTD. to learn how to light a scene properly and later moved up to working on the lighting crews of feature films and concerts. In his free time Mason traveled as much as he could, met other artists that inspired him, and constantly worked on getting new projects produced with Void Formula being the latest.
